The Speedway Riders Benevolent Fund (SRBF) is a Registered Charity.
The SRBF exists solely for the purpose of assisting Speedway Riders who have become seriously injured, long term sick or whose lives have been devastated as a result of accidents whilst racing Speedway for British based Teams. It helps in many different ways, for example by purchasing wheelchairs and other necessary equipment, alterations to living accommodation and cash assistance for riders unable to race or work for long periods of time.
During the last two years the Fund has helped over 80 Riders and has given over £100,000 of assistance.
Being a Registered Charity, the Fund is administered and controlled by a Board of 4 Trustees who, as well as being responsible for the day to day running of the Fund also ensure full transparency of accounts by submitting annual audits to the Charities Commissioners.
The main income of the Fund is raised by kind and generous donations from you the Speedway fraternity. Collections take place at every Track throughout the Speedway Season and other donations and individual fund raising events are also a vital contribution..
Many supporters are active in raising money, and awareness, through sponsored activities for example half- marathons, writing books, and even recording of a CD. and those of you who visit "ebay" will often see auctions for items to benefit the SRBF.

Speedway is following in the footsteps of the Calendar Girls, which will be good news for the sport's many female fans - because 20 International riders have joined in the fun and posed for a 2010 calendar which will be sold for the benefit of the Speedway Riders' Benevolent Fund. And it's available now!
Many top riders including Freddie Lindgren, Tai Woffinden, Niels Kristian Iversen, Chris Harris, Eddie Kennett, Ollie Allen and numerous others, can be seen in cheeky poses as you turn the pages from January to December 2010.
