EDINBURGH gave an astonishing demonstration of strength with a 56-34 win at King's Lynn in the first leg of their Knockout Cup tie.
The Norfolk Arena has been a fortress in recent years but the Monarchs got off to a flying start by providing the first five heat winners to go 21-9 up.
Ryan Fisher was unbeaten from his first four outings before hitting machine trouble in Heat 15, which allowed the Stars a consolation 5-1.
Monarchs boss John Campbell said: "Everyone will be amazed by this result. The whole team deserve great credit including Carl Wilkinson who was a brilliant guest for Kalle Katajisto."
Edinburgh have also announced that Arlo Bugeja will come into their team at reserve on Friday to replace Cal McDade.
