BIRMINGHAM will be without broken collarbone victim Aaron Summers for both legs of the Premier Trophy Final against Newcastle.
Already without Chris Kerr (leg), the Brummies had hoped that Summers would be fit to return having practiced at Glasgow weekend, but further checks on the injury have resulted in the Aussie being told to rest for another fortnight.
Boss Graham Drury said: "Aaron called me yesterday to tell me the bad news and we have no option but to use the rider replacement facility.
"We will go up there and give it everything we've got. We were brilliant in the group stages of the Trophy and our priority is to keep the scores as close as possible before we get them back to Perry Barr on Wednesday.
"Even with our injury problems I feel confident the team we have can do the job and it would be a massive boost for us all if we can go forward and win a major national title."
